How much does roof insulation cost installed in Ireland
The cost of roof insulation in Ireland tot to be confused with attic insulation, is literally insulation put in under the roof often directly under the roofing tiles.
There are 2 types of roof insulation, pitched roof insulation and flat roof insulation. More information on attic insulation costs.
Pitched roof insulation costs
The insulation is put directly under the pitched slope of the roof, insulating the entire loft space, known as warm-roof insulation.
The most popular insulation materials used are foil backed polystyrene insulation panels which are cut into the required shape and put between the rafters, spray foam insulation sprayed directly between the rafters from the roof and mineral wool and fiberglass can also be used.
The cost of roof insulation is about €30 per m2 (square meter) on Average for a pitched roof.
Flat roof insulation costs
There are a few ways to insulate a flat roof. You can put warm deck insulation below the waterproof membrane and above the deck of the roof, then cold deck insulation is put below the joists remember to leave a 50mm ventilation gap.
The cost of roof insulation is approx €40 per m2 for a flat roof.
