What is sheeps wool insulation?

Sheep's wool insulation comes from sheared wool from sheep. It is then put through a mechanical process or bonded together to form rolls or batts. This creates a very thick, very dense insulation material which is greater or equal to that of rockwool, cellulose or fibreglass.

In order to make the wool fire resistant and to repel insects and to prevent damage ammonium sulfates and other chemicals are added making it not totally free of toxins.
